Happy Monday Everyone! To embrace my Chinese heritage, I want to wish everyone Happy Lunar New Year or in my culture we say Gung Hay Fat Choy (恭喜发财)! :) This holiday, is extremely close to my heart because it always reminds me the warmth of home, family and the delicious feast my dad prepares during this time. In honor or the Lunar New Year, I did a pairing for red and gold. Red is mainly worn throughout this holiday because it is believed that red will ward away the evil spirits and bad fortune. In addition, since the New Year signifies new beginnings new clothing is particularly worn on this day. With a new vibrant red romper I currently purchased that I am currently obsessed with, I transformed it into a top by simply tucking it into a metallic gold pleated skirt. Clever idea right? I love challenging myself to re-style certain items in multiple ways. It is like piecing together a puzzle to create a beautiful picture! I finished the rest of the look with gold accented baubles. Thank you for reading and I will talk to you soon! May the year of the Goat/Sheep bring you happiness, good fortune, and prosperity!

  1. Olivia, not only is that a super cute outfit, but turning a romper into a top is a genius idea. I'd love to see that romper styled as a romper at some point as well, though :)
